The winds began blowing,
and the trees started shaking,
when a thousand birds hovering
became a thousand leaves wafting
became a thousand boats launching
on the river today, like
rafts or like barges,
riding high on the water,
edges curled  to the
the current, some with sails hoisted,
all fearlessly floating, dancing
and darting down the river
