NEVER EASY

Monday,

faithful tired day, how many have I

endured, 33 years, impassable swamps,

sprawling boulder fields, classes waiting for

me on the other side of Everest, beyond

a treacherous glacial river that I must

cross, the students themselves

drowning, grabbing ahold of

me, pulling me down, but

but I take a deep breath

and we float to distant

shores.
