JAM SESSION

New England's
                     bandstand re-opens,
           and the hills are alive
   with the sound
              of color, oranges
hitting notes no clarinet
           could hope to reach, reds
      blaring forth like bugle
                 blasts, leaving the mellow
 yellows to blow the
                      sax in this raucous
             ragtime forest
                          fest.

No Mozart or Bach in
           Vermont today
                Ðjust New Orleans
        all the way.
