	foundation stones.

No weathered granite marker
	whispers this to us.
   
	 No marker.

No roadside sign half-hidden in the
	undergrowth informs us.

	 No sign.

No tarnished plaque reminds us.

	 No plaque.

In the Town of Great
	 Barrington,
	 you'll have to happen upon
	 an archaeological dig to 
	 learn that 
  
	W.E.B. DuBois grew 
	 up here 

a dark secret
	 in a town's  
	  buried past.
