In Room 315 of the Drury Inn, in
Georgia, in the City of Atlanta, 25
"Deep South-ers" packed themselves in
to sing folk songs in the dark, a real
L-S scene, Oh Shenandoah!, The Water
is Wide,and then a song dedicated to
John & Jo Crawford, a hush reverential,
as we joined to sing Kate Wolf's Give
Yourself To Love, oh, beautiful sunset
memory from Jud's wedding, sung for
Jack, for you, for the family.
We were in Georgia, but it's all of you
who were on our minds.
On hearing of the death of a colleague's husband
while traveling through the south.
